Accreditation of non-national qualifications in Ireland:
Application Checklist

Please read the criteria for accreditation carefully before completing the Application Form (download nswqb-non-national-aform.pdf - 140 Kb).

To avoid delays, please make sure that you have filled in all details, provided all necessary documentation and signed the declaration at the end. The process can not begin until a complete application has been submitted to the NSWQB.

Please note that the NSWQB deals only with original documentation. Should you require additional space, please attach separate page marked with the item to which it refers. In filling out the form, please type or use block capital letters.

Ensure that you forward all of the following:

Application Form completed in full, including your signed declaration and certified details of practice curriculum
Administration fee:
Cheque/postal order/bank draft for Euro 200.00 made payable to the National Social Work Qualifications Board - For identification purposes applicants please write your name on the back of your payment
Proof of identity
Certificate of professional social work qualification award
Certificate of academic award (if different from professional award)
Transcripts of social work qualification (Transcripts = a formal declaration by the college of subjects studied by you that led to this qualification)
Evidence of recognition in your country of qualification (e.g. professional award, registration certificate, membership of professional organisation)
Certificate/s of other qualification/s (if applicable)
Transcripts of other qualification/s (if applicable)

Following receipt of your fully completed application form, attachments and fee, the Board may wish to request further information. In this case, you will be contacted as soon as possible.

The NSWQB recommends that you submit original documentation by registered post to:

8 - 11 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, Ireland.

All original documentation will be returned to you by registered post.
