Committee on National Qualifications

The Committee on National Qualifications is a committee of the Board that makes recommendations to the Board regarding the National Qualification in Socila Work (NQSW) and post-qualifying courses, continuing education and related areas. Other terms of reference include advising the Board in relation to academic and practice curricula development nationally and internationally.

Terms of reference:

  1. To advise the Board on any issues relating to courses leading to the NQSW and to keep an overview of this area
  2. To advise the Board in relation to academic and practice curriculum development nationally and internationally
  3. To advise the Board on any issues relating to post-qualifying courses
  4. To ensure the NQSW and post-qualifying handbooks are reviewed and updated to reflect experience and new developments
  5. To inform and advise the Panel of Assessors in relation to the standards and procedures for the accreditation of courses
  6. To keep an overview and monitor the accreditation of courses.
