Committee on National Qualifications
The Committee on National Qualifications is a committee of the Board that makes recommendations to the Board regarding the National Qualification in Socila Work (NQSW) and post-qualifying courses, continuing education and related areas. Other terms of reference include advising the Board in relation to academic and practice curricula development nationally and internationally.
Terms of reference:
- To advise the Board on any issues relating to courses leading to the NQSW and to keep an overview of this area
- To advise the Board in relation to academic and practice curriculum development nationally and internationally
- To advise the Board on any issues relating to post-qualifying courses
- To ensure the NQSW and post-qualifying handbooks are reviewed and updated to reflect experience and new developments
- To inform and advise the Panel of Assessors in relation to the standards and procedures for the accreditation of courses
- To keep an overview and monitor the accreditation of courses.
